THEME

A bullet  hell game I made for GMTK Jam 2020. The theme, "out of control," is present in a few ways, but the most obvious is that your bullets ricochet off walls and other bullets in random directions. Additionally, while your bullet is active you can no longer use that ability - you have literally "lost a control."

CREDITS

Everything in the game was made by myself except for the font, sound, and music assets, (which have been credited in-game).

REQUIREMENTS

The game runs at 1200x720 on WebGL. and 1920x1080 on windows. Requires a mouse and keyboard.

Please let me know if you have any issues downloading the windows build / running either version of the game!

Fun game, has some great potential, but the difficulty curve is way too steep. I couldn't even finish level 3, which is much harder than level 7, so is level 5

Thanks for playing! That is a very specific piece of feedback, and if you have the time, I would love to hear more details.

Could you describe what makes levels 3 and 5 difficult?

I don't know man, but even after managing to finish all the other levels, I still couldn't finish level 5

Interesting. Thanks for the reply! :)

Super satisfying feedback and good controls! 10/10

Thanks :) I worked hard trying to add as much player feedback as I could

It is super cool, and while I know the game has to have that element of "out of control", it is slightly annoying that I can't line up cool shots which will mow down a bunch of enemies by perfectly bouncing off the walls. It does happen, but it is random, and it is out of my control. As per the theme, it is awesome!

Thanks! Glad you thought it fits the theme well :) maybe I can add a powerup or something in the future where the "randomness" is disabled for a brief duration

very cool, has an undertale theme to it, well done!

Thanks!
